Otter Creek Winery, named after the creek it overlooks, is one of Northern New York’s newest family farm wineries.  Owned and operated by Kyle Hafemann, the youngest person to ever start a New York Farm Winery, opened in 2007 and currently produces over 7000 gallons of 13 different varieties of wine.  The use of cold-hardy grapes produces wines unique to this area of the country.  Come in and taste the handcrafted wine, while enjoying the beautiful view overlooking the vineyards.
If you can’t make it to the winery, the winery may come to you. Look for Otter Creek Winery at consumer shows and special events throughout the year. One of our favorite things is meeting our customers and hearing what they have to say. Maybe the next great idea will come from you.

Otter Creek Winery takes pride in their dedication to producing and offering great tasting wines. Each bottle is a personal labor of love. By experimenting with different varieties of grapes they are able to create unique and changing offerings. This includes different offerings year to year because of the vagaries of the harvest. Dry years and wet years will produce different results and tastes in the grapes, leading to opportunities for new wines to appear on the shelves.

Exciting things are happening at Otter Creek Winery. A new pavilion has been added and is available for events such as small weddings, reunions, retirement parties, etc. Gift baskets are made to order while you wait and custom labels will give a special personal touch to your wine purchase.

The relaxed family feel at Otter Creek Winery will make your visit an enjoyable part of a day on the Thousand Islands Seaway Wine Trail. They are open year round from 10-6 Monday-Saturdays and 10-5 on Sundays.  For more information call 315-642-0622.  Group tastings are available by appointment.  The winery is located on Rudes Road, off County Route 28 in Philadelphia, NY. Take US Route 11 to NYS Route 26 North and turn right on Route 28. Rudes Road is the first left.
